Hearth Foundation's Partners
Since 1987, New Beginnings for Women & Children has been helping homeless women with children to become economically self sufficient and able to sustain their families in stable housing. People who come to us have become homeless for any number of reasons. However, a factor for the great majority is domestic violence or some other form of abuse.
New Beginnings provides Emergency Shelter (including food, clothing, personal care and transportation needs), and counseling and support services. Clients are helped to find jobs or obtain training needed to get work and create a plan for obtaining stable housing.

Our Family Services makes our community a better place to live, to grow up, and to grow older with a continuum of services to people in every stage of life. At-risk children, youth, families, seniors and disabled adults depend on our services, which include mediation, counseling, education, case management, housing, and information and referral.
Among Our Family’s services to homeless youth is the CommonUnity program. CommonUnity is a 20-unit apartment complex for formerly homeless young women ages 18-21 and their children. There, residents hold down jobs, go to school, pay rent, and learn how to be good parents, neighbors and employees. Their children grow up well-cared-for, with a network of support around them. Located in north central Tucson, CommonUnity is made possible by a partnership of more than 10 community agencies including The Hearth Foundation!
